With a heritage dating back to Germany in the mid-20th century, 'Dornfelder' is a much-loved (and highly-respected) grape, both for dessert purposes and wine-making.
Its large bunches of delicious black grapes reliably appear in large numbers each year, boasting not only exceptional taste but also a strong resistance to common grape problems (like botrytis bunch rot).
Ripening in the middle of autumn, this vine (which can be grown both outdoors and indoors) sports vibrant leaf colour towards the end of the year, dazzling with red and orange shades.
